IN THE STREET
We, as pastors, and ministers have a responsibility to proclaim the whole counsel of God, including what His Word says about the value of human life, sin, justice, repentance, and forgiveness. Preaching about abortion also means proclaiming hope: for women and men who have participated in abortion, there is no sin beyond the saving grace of Jesus Christ for those who repent and believe. The pulpit should equip God's people not only to understand abortion biblically, but to respond with truth, compassion, courage, and faithful action.
We go to abortion facilities because that is where unborn children are in immediate danger and where mothers and fathers may still have an opportunity to choose life. We stand outside to plead for the lives of these children, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and offer real help to families facing difficult circumstances. We are not there merely to tell someone what not to do—we want to show them another way. We preach Christ, plead for life, and offer help.
